G Gathering Read Across America at Primrose School at Cahoon Commons

Read Across America at Primrose School at Cahoon Commons

In honor of the National Education Association's Read Across America Day, more than 150 children at Primrose School at Cahoon Commons will enjoy special guest readers. The preschoolers, ranging in age from 1 to 5 years old, will wear red and white decorated handmade hats in honor of famous author Dr. Seuss who celebrates his birthday on the same day. Additionally, the children will wrap up their month-long book drive with a large donation to the local Reach Out and Read chapter, a non-profit housed at CHKD, committed to promoting literacy through pediatric primary care. Local owner stated, "our children get so excited each year about helping others, as they donate their books freely in a specially decorated box in the front of the school".
